I also found that the Joshua who arranges the tours goes above and beyond to welcome guest and offers so much detail on the trips and extra information. It created an easy and personal experience that helped our little family have a much needed easy vacation. The tour operator was the best costumer service I’ve had in years! The beach attendant took great care of us as well.
The main pool was being worked on along with some of the rooms. I would say the grounds appear to be getting some upgrades. They offered two additional pools but we found zero desire for pool time. The staff made my four year old daughter feel welcome and at home. We would return and look forward to the upgraded rooms and main pool rehab. The location is perfect to enjoy the beach. We didn’t dive this trip it was about spending time as a family with our young daughter. However, the dive shop seemed easy and friendly as well. This is a safe, friendly and clean location. Reception: Pickup from the airport went smoothly. We had to wait about a 1/2 hour as they only run at certain times but we knew this in advance. It was just under a 30 minute ride back to the hotel. The check in went very smoothly as well.

Room: there are different options so pay attention to what you pick. We were on the 3rd level of the Paradise side and there are no elevators which was fine by us. We loved the extra steps. The oceanic side has elevators. The room was quite small but that is what we paid for. It was clean & bright, comfy bed and plenty of toiletries, hot water & air conditioning. Didn't have any hand towels or wash clothes initially but got some the 2nd day. Follow the directions for the safe, they are slightly different from others. Our only disappointment was our balcony. We couldn't access it from the slider, we had to walk out our door around the corner to access it. Which meant anyone else could too. (I believe this was unique to our room as the handle was broken).

Pool: nice, clean & cool as very shaded most of the time. Not great for doing laps but had a nice area for toddlers or just sitting in that was about 8" deep only and other parts had some seating which was neat.

Food: We did the bed & breakfast and the breakfast was good. Always fruit, yogurt, egg-station & a couple hot entries like beans/bacon/eggs/fr toast/etc. I feel like I am glad we did not do the All Inclusive. You have to remember this is not a huge resort so the selections appeared limited, especially the snacks. If you have no previous AI experience it may be fine. We ate at the restaurant there twice and it was fine though slightly overpriced compared to others we tried. Two of the meals were good other two were flavorless. There were lots of other restaurants in walking distance that we enjoyed.

Beach/ocean: so beautiful! The amazing Caribbean water you imagine and about a mile long beach and the most amazing sunset! It is much narrower than many beaches I've been to so it does require close quarters for the lawn chairs but with a view like that, it was fine! We did have trouble getting chairs several times because selfish people throw their towels down and then disappear for hours.

Staff: I would have to say nearly every single employee we met were wonderful! So kind, helpful and patient as I tried to practice my Espanol!

Entertainment: almost nonexistent and what I considered the only downfall. The website states/shows Fire Show, Garifuna Show, pool table, yoga, water aerobics and none of that occurred. Which was a bummer as that was part of the reason we chose this resort. One night they did have a keyboard player. We didn't get the Activities flyer until the 3rd day when I saw it on the table. I think promoting these daily activities would gain participation and being truthful about the shows would be respected.

Gym: nice, cool, big enough and nice views. Only downside was no treadmill.

Misc: Appreciated that they had several water stations to fill your water bottles. There were many beach vendors but they were very respectful and not overbearing. If you head to the beach and take a right you can walk about 3/4 mi. to the Gumbalimba Park if you are willing to cross a somewhat sketchy bridge. It's $35 to enter and was worth it. Otherwise you can take a taxi.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy I would definitely recommend! Even with the lack of activities and entertainment we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

The food, the beach, the atmosphere, the people, the... read more food. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. Christopher (the guy walking around with a clip board) is so helpful and always greets you with a smile. We stayed in a Villa next to a coconut tree and I jokingly made a comment that we were scared one would fall and hit us in the head. Less than an hour later a maintenance guy cut them down and Javier gave us fresh coconut water on the beach. You should start your mornings with a pool aerobic class with Andrea then eat an incredible omelet made by the best dang omelet making cook you'll ever meet. Olga usually waited on us in the morning and greeted us by name which was really sweet. After breakfast you can feed fish, snorkel, or lay on the beach. The water is beyond perfect....like seriously..PERFECT. The hotel also has scuba diving and other neat activities. All the waiters and waitresses are so nice and I never ordered a plate that was less than exceptional. I highly recommend getting out to see the rest of the island, but paradise truly has all you need. Thanks for a perfect week guys! <3

We had a blast, we... read more saw some beautiful overlooks on the way to Punta Gorda and had an amazing seafood lunch at Yurumei. Then did a Mangrove boat tour. Stopped at the Hole in the Wall ( Captain Ed is always a hoot!) and Mr. Browns for beers. Had a great time ! Moises is the man for any of your transportation needs day or night.

It was so beautiful with roses everywhere, including a violinist. I was very overwhelmed by all the details they put into it. They have a great dive shop. My husband went on 6 total, including a shark dive. Was amazing! If you're not sure what to do or who to trust, reception will set up everything for you. No need to worry.
But above all... the people are what will have us coming back. If you're open to conversation, you will meet some of the most amazing people! All around great resort with an exceptional team of employees.
The location is convenient for water activities (nice snorkeling, our tour and fishing boat picked us up at a nearby dock, jet skiing and other rentals available nearby). We felt very safe walking to many of the nearby restaurants each night. The sunset views were fantastic. Gradual ocean depth, nice sandy beach with perfect water temps and amazing sunset views.
We had a nice visit to nearby West End but were glad that we chose this location.
Paradise rooms with our own balcony worked out great. The suite was the only room that had a coffee maker (if you want coffee before 7am you might want to book a suite)
